FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- What types of photography services do you offer?
-
Manifest Productions specializes in headshots, branding, events, and portrait photography. We do not offer wedding photography.
- What does a branding session consist of?
-
Our branding sessions start with an initial free consultation to understand your needs and goals. Once you book a session, we will have a brand strategy meeting via Zoom or in person to plan the shoot. During this meeting, we'll discuss your brand story, vision, and the message you want to convey through the images. We will stay in touch about wardrobe and styling options to ensure everything aligns with your brand. Finally, a follow-up meeting will be scheduled to confirm all details and ensure we are fully prepared for the session. This thorough process ensures that your branding photos are a true reflection of your brand identity.
- Do you travel for sessions?
-
Yes! Manifest Productions is happy to travel to bring your vision to life. Travel fees may apply depending on the location, and we’ll discuss all details during the booking process to ensure everything is clear.
- Can a branding session be done at my place of business?
-
Absolutely! Branding sessions at your place of business are encouraged and are a great way to capture your work environment and tell your brand’s story authentically. We’ll plan the session to showcase your space and operations in a way that connects with your audience.
- Do I get to pick my images?
-
Yes, you do! For indoor studio sessions, we shoot tethered, allowing you to view and select your favorite images immediately after the session. If your session is outdoors or at a different location, we will plan a follow-up meeting. This meeting will be scheduled at a convenient time and location for both of us, allowing me time to upload and prepare the photos. During this meeting, you can review and select your favorite images. This process ensures you get the images you love while maintaining the security and integrity of your photos.
- What is your photo editing process?
-
We take pride in our thorough photo editing process to ensure every image meets our high standards of quality. Our editing process involves enhancing various elements of the photos to bring out their full potential. This includes retouching to smooth skin while maintaining a natural look, color correction for accurate and vibrant tones, adjustments to highlight key features, background cleanup to remove distractions, and sharpening for overall clarity.
- Will I own the photos or videos from my session?
-
Copyright for all photos and videos remains withManifest Productions as the creator. However, clients are granted a license to use the content for their intended purposes. For commercial use—such as marketing, social media, or website content—a commercial license ensures you have the necessary rights for business applications. Additional licensing options can be discussed if needed.
- What is the difference between copyright and licensing?
-
Copyright is the legal ownership of a creative work, giving the creator exclusive rights to its use. Licensing is permission from the copyright owner to use the work under specific terms, such as for personal or commercial purposes. At Manifest Productions, I retain copyright for all images and provide licenses tailored to your needs.
- What is a commercial license?
-
A commercial license refers to using your photos or videos to promote or generate revenue for a business, product, or service. This includes but is not limited to, advertising, marketing campaigns, social media promotions, website content, business cards, brochures, or any materials directly tied to your business operations.
When you need photos or videos for commercial use, you’ll be provided with a commercial license. This license allows you to legally use the content for these revenue-generating purposes under specific terms.
- Why does a commercial license cost more than a standard license?
-
A commercial license costs more because it allows you to use the photos or videos for business purposes like marketing and advertising. These uses add value to your brand and often reach a larger audience, making the license more impactful than standard personal use.
